Deaf Haven.

To Be Seen.

To Be Heard.

Deaf Haven is a youth-led, disability-focused organization that champions inclusion, empowerment, and equity for young people with disabilities especially those who are Deaf or hard of hearing. We work to dismantle systemic barriers that silence marginalized voices and hinder access to essential services, opportunities, and rights. Our vision is rooted in creating a world where every young person, regardless of their ability, is truly seen, heard, and supported to thrive.

About Us

To empower youth with disabilities through inclusive, rights-based programs that enhance access to quality healthcare, justice, technology, climate resilience, and economic opportunity.

Vision

A just and inclusive society where all young people with disabilities live with dignity, voice, and full participation in development.

Core Values

● Inclusion – We promote meaningful participation and equal access in every space.

● Dignity – We believe in the inherent worth of every person, regardless of ability.

● Empowerment – We equip youth with the tools to lead and advocate for themselves.

● Innovation – We embrace creative, tech-driven, and sustainable solutions.

● Justice – We fight for fair systems that protect the rights of all.

● Resilience – We nurture adaptive, climate-smart communities built to endure and thrive.

Key Program Areas

We work with healthcare providers to improve communication access and
disability-friendly services, train sign language interpreters in medical contexts, and empower Deaf youth with health education and sexual reproductive health awareness.

Deaf Haven advocates for accessible legal services, policy reform, and inclusive justice systems. We offer legal literacy workshops, support Deaf youth navigating the justice system, and engage with duty bearers to
promote sign language access in courts and police stations.

Through digital literacy programs, accessible media, and tech training, we
ensure that youth with disabilities are not left behind in the digital age. Our platforms raise awareness and promote positive representation of Deaf and disabled voices in society

We engage Deaf and disabled youth in climate action by building awareness of environmental risks, training them in adaptation strategies and promoting their inclusion in climate-related decision-making at the grassroots level.

Deaf Haven empowers youth with disabilities through inclusive
agri-entrepreneurship. We provide training in climate-smart agriculture, link them to markets and financing, and support Deaf-led farming cooperatives.
